Job Description
ValueRock Realty Partners, Inc. (“ValueRock”) is seeking a candidate who will specialize in commercial real estate underwriting, due diligence, and asset management, and to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Irvine, CA. The candidate will be responsible for working with our acquisition, disposition, asset management, and financing teams along with the principals of our business. ValueRock is seeking a creative, hardworking, and resourceful self-starter with the ability to problem solve collaboratively. Applicants must have a positive attitude, superior ability to organize and multi-task, strong financial modeling and project management skills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Create and present financial underwriting models with ARGUS and Excel for new acquisitions, potential development projects, and existing portfolio of assets, complete with rent rolls, assumptions, and return analyses
- Research, analyze, and prepare information regarding commercial real estate and market data, such as lease and sale comparables, due diligence memorandums, leasing analysis, tenant/guarantor credit evaluations, market research, and other asset management responsibilities
- Utilize 3rd-party research tools and software applications (i.e., CoStar, Placer.ai, Trepp, etc.) to obtain property, market, and financial information
- Detailed review and abstract summaries of commercial real estate leases, agreements, and other documents
Qualifications
- Four-year bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Preferably at least 2 years of experience in commercial real estate and financial analysis
- Experience with commercial real estate underwriting and financial modeling
- Proficient in ARGUS, Adobe PDF, and Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding, knowledge, and interest in retail commercial real estate is a plus
