Job Title: Payroll Assistant - Hospital Setting
Location: New York, NY - 10004
Pay: $30-31/hr
Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Days: 5x8
Job Description:
We are seeking a Payroll Assistant to join our team in New York. The ideal candidate will have experience in processing payroll, assisting with wage garnishments, maintaining benefits deductions, and performing audits to ensure data integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees
- Assist in entering and paying wage garnishments
- Process property payroll transfer reports
- Ensure benefits deductions are accurate
- Conduct audits to ensure accuracy and maintain data integrity
- Support leadership on accounting-related projects
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma/GED required
Experience: At least 1 year of payroll-related experience
Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), QuickBooks, and Pay Choice; payroll associates experience preferred
Other: Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
