My client is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Investment Management platform supporting the Investments & Acquisitions Team. This person will report to the Executive Vice President of Investment Management and is responsible for assisting the growth of their acquisition efforts.
General Areas of Responsibility:
- Detailed financial analysis and modeling for office, multi‐family, retail, hospitality, industrial, and mixed‐use acquisition and development opportunities
- Direct support to senior members of the acquisitions team for new acquisition opportunities including: Underwriting, Market Research, Financing, Due Diligence, Closing.
- Assist senior team members in sizing and structuring multiple development and acquisition transactions by using fundamental valuation methodologies, identifying and researching risks, understanding industry dynamics, industry valuation metrics and modeling cash flows.
- Interacting with other departments to facilitate the successful execution of the company and development project objectives.
- Preparing and presenting investment recommendations to an internal Investment Committee.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal departments.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business‐related field (i.e. Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, etc.)
- 4‐5 years of analytical and financial modeling skills in an investment environment.
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures associated with real estate investment and capital markets.
- Outstanding Excel skills (required) and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) as well as deep knowledge of Argus AE.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, quantitative, writing and communication skills; able to interface with top level executives.
- Ability to multi‐task, especially in stressful situations, and excellent attention to detail
- Self‐motivated, team oriented, and strong time management skills to prioritize deadlines.
- Ability to be an independent worker, unsupervised, with a team player attitude.
