JWe are looking for a Medical Administrative Assistant with a background in Accounts recievable and billing. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities:

Processing, Posting, and Reconciling Payments
Posting, Uploading, and Managing EOBs
Office Visit Authorizations
Compiles and tracks the outstanding balances owed
Collect, post, and manage patient and insurance account payments
Maintain patient payment records, makes payment arrangements and collects on past due account
Reconciling bank statements and deposits
Identify billing-related issues and work with appropriate internal teams to resolve the identified issue(s) in a timely manner.
Posting payments into the EMR system accurately and timely.
Additional part-time administrative duties include checking patients in and out, organizing medical record, and managing new patient referrals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Some medical billing experience is a bonus.
Must be a team player and willing to assist employees and patients when they have billing related questions.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, verbally and written. Spanish speakers are highly desirable.
Excellent customer service and phone etiquette skills.
Able to prioritize and balance workload on short and long-term needs.
Must be able to work independently and be able to solve problems efficiently and accurately.
Familiarity with EMR systems is desirable. Prior experience using EclinicalWorks is highly desirable.
Fast learner and self-starter.
