The Senior Capital Markets Paralegal will oversee the annual submission of Form 10-K, a detailed report submitted by publicly traded companies to the SEC that outlines their financial performance. In addition, the Senior Paralegal will coordinate closings and train and mentor junior paralegals.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare and ensure timely filing of approximately 350 reports within a 2 week period for multiple clients of the firm.
- Collaborate with partners and clients to gather information regarding business operations, risk factors and financial statements
- Maintain and track deal information
- Manage and coordinate transaction closings, assisting attorneys with the review, organization, and preparation of closing documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of corporate/transactional paralegal experience in a law firm
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational, communication and time management skills
- Strong attentional to detail and follow up
- The ability to work collaboratively with others and interact with all levels of staff
- Professional demeanor
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $150,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location from which the applicant will be performing the job.
