About The Role
At HANDS Center for Autism, our employees are our most valuable assets and integral to both our growth and success. The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for running the daily functions of the Human Resources Department including hiring and interviewing staff, onboarding and employee engagement, employee leave and benefit administration as well as enforcing company policies. The responsibilities of this role are to meet the agency retention and recruitment strategies while staying compliant.
What You'll Do
- Staffing Management - manage the full recruitment life cycle and hiring process, participate in job fairs, work closely with Marketing to monitor social media.
- Compliance and Regulatory Oversight - acquires background checks, conducts employment record audits as needed, maintains compliance with employment laws.
- Engagement and Retention - assist with planning and execution of special events, conduct administrative functions as it relates to people management/engagement/retention/workplace satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications
- An extremely high level of integrity and confidentiality is required.
- Strong initiative and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Consistent professional and positive conduct with the ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, psychology, education, or related field preferred (see succession plan.)
- Experience working in human resources or office administration settings.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and aptitude to learn new applications.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasionally prolonged periods of standing during presentations.
- Ability to independently travel to all clinic locations and job fairs as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to audibly and vocally communicate clearly, with or without accommodations.
Other Requirements
- Successful completion of criminal history background check and drug testing
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with a variety of individuals in different settings
- Knowledge of autism, and/or ABA therapy is a plus
