About The Position
Dexis Professional Services (Dexis) is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide various administrative services, including official correspondence, scheduling, and calendar management, for multiple divisions supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (OUSD).
The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)) is responsible for leading the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) efforts related to research and development, advanced technology, developmental test and evaluation, production, logistics, installation management, military construction, defense procurement, acquisition policy, environmental and nuclear security, chemical and biological matters, operational energy plans and programs, corrosion policy and oversight, human capital initiatives, as well as small and disadvantaged business management. To accomplish this mission, OUSD(A&S) requires administrative, analytical, and strategic communication support services.
This role requires strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills to support senior leadership within the DoD.
The position is based in the DC metro area and is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for OUSD(A&S).
- Maintain assigned Outlook and portal calendars for multiple departments/divisions.
- Monitor due dates and assist in completing official correspondence, including letters, notices, instructions, and memoranda.
- Support personnel management activities, including fitness reports, performance evaluations, awards, training, security, and facilities support.
- Answer and route telephone calls to appropriate individuals.
- Track and follow up on OUSD Action Packages and Division documents in routing.
- Maintain portal sites, documents, links, libraries, announcements, lists, and contacts weekly.
- Manage agendas, meetings, tasks, information, content, office administration, and other operational duties.
- Ensure compliance with DoD policies and procedures in all administrative functions.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance (or Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility).
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in personnel, scheduling, task management, planning, forecasting, correspondence, security, and facilities.
- Experience within the Department of Defense or other federal agencies.
- Proven success managing multiple direct reports and functional areas across different locations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong English writing skills with the ability to produce quality written products under tight deadlines.
- Strong active listening skills to assess customer needs and satisfaction.
- Experience managing customer expectations and working directly with stakeholders.
- Outstanding customer service, initiative, judgment, creativity, flexibility, and confidence.
- Ability to multi-task across multiple projects.
Below is the pay range aligned with this position. When developing a range, Dexis evaluates compensation holistically, triangulating between external market research, our budget for the position, and internal equity to arrive at a figure that is fair and competitive. Offers within this range will be based on an individual candidate's qualification, relevant education and experience, skills, performance, and organizational needs.

$60,000—$68,000 USD
