The company is a leading US renewable energy company with approximately one gigawatt of wind and solar capacity in operation. Backed by a private equity firm, the company develops, acquires, and optimizes power plants to accelerate the energy transition and deliver target financial returns to its investors.
Purpose:
The Investment Manager will lead the capital formation and valuation analysis, working directly with the CFO. This is a newly created role for a hands-on and results-driven individual to join a growth-oriented organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project finance and investment analysis, thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, and be eager to contribute to a collaborative team culture.
Responsibilities:
- Lead negotiations of project finance, tax equity, and corporate lending opportunities
- Maintain valuation models on existing investments to support key business decisions and divestitures
- Develop valuation models to support acquisitions
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in project finance and financial modeling
- Experience in energy; experience working at a renewable independent power producer (IPP), investment banking, or private equity
- Understanding of renewable energy credits, project finance, tax equity structures, and regulatory considerations in the utility-scale renewable energy sector
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field
- Highly analytical with experience in critical thinking and problem-solving; asks questions and seeks input, is curious with the ability to think creatively
- Strong interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence, a passion for teamwork, and a rigorous drive for results in an entrepreneurial, collaborative environment
- Proficient technical skills, including complex financial modeling and data analysis using Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to internal stakeholders and external audiences
- Dynamic, self-demanding, and proactive individual, motivated and able to navigate ambiguity
- Exceptional organizational skills, efficient work habits, and attention to detail with high standards of accuracy and precision

Working Conditions:
This position operates in a professional office environment. Ideal candidates will be in the office on-site at least 3 days per week, with remote work permitted at the discretion of the individual’s supervisor. Company standard working hours are Monday through Friday; some additional evening and weekend hours should be expected. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc. Some travel may be required.
