Job Overview
The Senior Analyst / Vice President, Commercial Real Estate position is responsible for assisting in (i) the origination, structuring and maintenance of capital sources for Twain’s growing real estate debt business and (ii) the evaluation of debt and investment opportunities for Twain. Twain’s existing investment lines include, but are not limited to, renewable energy debt and tax credit equity, commercial property assessed clean energy (C-PACE) lending and structured real estate debt financing. As an integral member of Twain’s investment real estate team, this position will work closely with the senior members of Twain’s investment team to develop and scale a structured real estate debt platform. This full-time position is located in St. Louis, Missouri.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare materials and financial models (in Excel) for potential and existing capital sources
- Analyze and perform due diligence on real estate investment and debt opportunities
- Draft investment memoranda for internal and external audiences
- Coordinate with internal teams and third-party investors on Twain’s debt products
- Execute due diligence on new opportunities
- Help identify strategic relationships with banks, insurance companies, investment banks, and asset management firms
Requirements
- Degree in business or finance preferred
- 5+ years of experience in real estate or structured finance is preferred
- CFA encouraged but not required
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task under pressure
- Strong analytical, organization, and communication (written, oral and interpersonal) skills
