Role Summary
As a Program Manager, Sales Network Development, you will lead the development of all essential program tools and resources to support the expansion of Rivian's sales footprint. You will coordinate and manage the sales network / real estate project pipeline, as well as new processes, dashboards, project tracking and standards to support overall network development
You will be responsible for creating the processes that enable consistent and close collaboration with key cross-functional partners and stakeholder groups throughout the organization. You will be responsible for coordinating Network Development’s planning and decision making processes, ensuring overall readiness to launch new sales locations and enter new markets You act as the bridge to our real estate and planning teams, responsible for driving progress and deliverables end-to-end, and navigating interdependencies across all stakeholder teams.
You lead through a team-first and customer-centric approach, are performance oriented, and can thrive in highly cross functional, ambiguous and unexpected environments, tackling all challenges with a flexible and solution-oriented mindset. You are results driven and demonstrate an understanding of how each interaction supports the broader Commercial organization and Rivian brand.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of all essential program tools and resources to support the expansion of Rivian's sales footprint
- Develop, own and manage the network / real estate project pipeline, as well as new processes, dashboards, project tracking and standards to support overall network development
- Coordinate deliverables, progress, timelines, and ownership across cross-functional partners and perform project status tracking risk mitigation
- Ensure the Sales Network development team consistently achieves decision schedules and pipeline deliverables
- Manage and coordinate the site-selection processes on behalf of Sales Network Development, in close partnership with Real Estate, Planning, Project, and Finance teams.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure all site selection diligence is complete, in alignment with the G5 workback schedule, and planning calendar
- Coordinate and consolidate weekly, monthly and quarterly program and performance updates for leadership teams, including analysis of the retail competitive landscape
- Support the identification and selection of new sites, at times by traveling on-site to review potential locations and surveying for operational requirements and performance indicators
- Ensure pipeline and decision deliverables and goals are met or exceeded through alignment on process, underwriting, timelines, dependencies, individual accountability, and responsibilities.
- Identify & solve for all operational and decision making constraints, including regulatory, sales licenses, legal, permitting, and landlord requirements, with a focus on ensuring Rivian can effectively manage the real estate pipeline
- Support the evaluation of policy, zoning, and other regulatory impacts to programming and operations and apply this info to assist in site selection and programming development
- Develop and manage the sales footprint plan of record, including up-to-date executive summaries and cross-functional updates
- Establish and monitor project Key Performance Indicators for the real estate pipeline
- Ability and willingness to travel (up to 25% of the time)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support projects on nights, weekends and/or holidays; ability to travel based on business needs to support market launches and operations.
- Perform other activities as needed to launch new locations and develop Rivian’s sales footprint.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in retail sales real estate coordination, retail operations, retail project management or retail new location opening experience required
- Background working in or with Direct-to-Consumer retail business models preferred, specifically DTC retail automotive, DTC tech retail, or high-growth DTC lifestyle brand
- At least 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience with retail real estate program management preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license in the state of residence that you will be driving/operating a vehicle (or state that you are commuting daily to/from) and possess an exceptional driving record
- No drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years; No more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years; No driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver License within a 3-5 year period. Will be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring
- Ability to obtain and maintain local sales licenses if applicable in your state

Physical Requirements
- Willingness to work in various working conditions including being in a full service retail center or unpredictable weather conditions
- Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks (sitting up to 6 or more hours at a time, standing for up to 8 or more hours a day, walking, bending, kneeling, laying, twisting, carrying, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs).
- Frequent use of hands for purposes of grasping and using tools correctly, entering data, writing communications, or calling customers or internal partners
- Strong understanding of written and spoken English
- Ability to see, read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions or schematics
