Director of Recruiting, West Coast (Majors & Emerging Accounts)
As a Director of Recruiting, you will be part of Swoon’s larger leadership team—responsible for leading, growing, directing, and driving the performance of your West Coast Major Accounts & Emerging Recruiting team. Success in the role will be achieved through demonstrating hands-on leadership, exceeding forecasted gross margin goals, managing exceptional recruiting activity and performance, developing and executing recruiting strategies, and growing Swoon’s West Coast delivery team.
Growing the Business:
- Collaborate with leadership, director counterparts, sales team, and any necessary internal group at Swoon to ensure placements and margin growth in your team.
- Ensure roles are being assigned, delegated, and recruited on with urgency.
- Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and coaching for your team to achieve their individual margin and performance goals.
- Pace set the day—ensure optimum team productivity.
- Lead by example by rolling up your sleeves to recruit and execute recruiting best practices as the business dictates.
- Consistently inspire and motivate your team and other Swoon recruiters by exemplifying tenured recruiters’ behaviors, activity levels, presence, and leadership.
- Strategize to overcome challenges, make up deficits, and provide guidance on how to reset the day/week, etc.
- Ensure recruiting tools, resources, and best practices are being utilized.
- Participate in forecasting, budgeting, and setting goal expectations for your team.
- Conduct reviews with your team on a monthly and quarterly cadence.
- Participate in MSP scorecard reviews and client meetings with the team.
- Stay cutting edge, relevant, and advise on recruiting market trends and rates/salaries.
- Showcase executive presence and provide visible Swoon leadership: in the office, on company-wide calls, and meetings.
Performance Management:
- Accountable for meeting or exceeding the recruiting activity and financial goals on their designated teams.
- Create financial spread goals for each recruiter and submit them to the SVP for approval.
- Performance-minded: work with the team to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and annual metrics.
- Responsible for ensuring and maintaining healthy client ratios for each West Coast Major & Emerging Account—reviewing on a monthly and quarterly basis—and providing course correction as needed.
- Monitor overall team activity with daily performance spot checks and real-time feedback.
- Ensure team is on track to achieve all deadlines and metrics—not limited to: resume submissions to client, notes, pre-screens, interviews, interview preps, debriefs, and offers to close.
- Identify where a Performance Improvement Plan may be required and design and implement the plan with approval by the SVP.
- Ensure honest, transparent, and timely feedback in communicating goals and objectives and motivate team members to perform at a high level.
Talent Acquisition:
- Work to help identify, interview, train, and coach new team hires.
- Attract, develop, and retain your recruiting team.
- Promote a culture of coaching—show, teach, and learn.
- Work with leadership to understand and plan for current and future workforce needs.
- Work on training sessions and ensure resources are utilized, and new hires are brought up to speed quickly and successfully.
- Determine succession planning for your team by working to help identify future recruiting team members and leaders.
