ABOUT THE ROLE:
The AVP, Commercial Partnership Activations will be responsible for the management of all Boston 26 brand clients and projects focused on sponsorship, fulfillment, and tournament activations.
Location:Onsite in Foxborough, MA with frequent local travel and occasional regional travel.
Type/Term:Exempt, 40hrs/wk.
Position would end in early Fall 2026.Hours will increase around tournament time. Must be comfortable with the potential of working nights and/or weekends if required (but not a standard).
Salary Range:$160-185k, annually depending on experience; post-tournament bonus potential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Closely collaborate with Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to add corporate affiliates to the Boston 26 family, and serve as sounding board for prospective client negotiations and discussions.
- Leverage research and insights to guide client-specific strategy development. Support the process of concept development and ideation across clients and new business pitches
- Establish and lead all brand-specific client relationships while managing long-term and short-term deliverables. Oversee the production of effective and well-designed client-facing materials including presentations, reports, recaps, etc
- Support negotiations with client partners and vendors
- Lead the onboarding of new clients and projects, including the development of timelines and action plans. Support contract reviews and execution
- Lead account servicing for Host City Supporters and Host City Donors, and ensure delivery of all Host City Supporter and Donor Rights
- Inform and support the contract finalization process, and leverage fulfillment and activation expertise to link contract verbiage with tournament activities
- Communicate basic Brand Protection rules to commercial entities (especially commercial entities adjacent to official sites Communicate basic Brand Protection rules to commercial entities (especially commercial entities adjacent to official sites such as FIFA Fan Festival, training sites, and stadium) and develop city-wide communication plan of Brand Protection principles (i.e., “dos and don’ts”)
- Lead tournament time activation and corporate affiliate activities across the seven matches
- Develop and maintain relationships with key client executives and relevant industry partners
- Other job-related duties as assigned
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in the sports sponsorship industry or related field
- 5+ years of activation & account management experience with proven expertise in working alongside senior leadership and closing deals for prominent sports brands or events.
- Familiarity with papering agreements, fulfillment, and ability to manage key accounts from initial contracting through event time
- A passion for sports and entertainment marketing in the New England region is preferred
- Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and understanding in/of sponsorship marketing, inclusive of sports, entertainment, and lifestyle, ideally with previous agency experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of sponsorship valuation and measurement required
- Successful experience as a project lead with client-facing responsibility and management of multiple team members is preferred
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in sponsorship and experiential marketing, particularly in sports.
- Strong work ethic and ability to be self-motivated and independently produce work to completion
- A strong leader and team player with proven ability to effectively collaborate with others and maintain strong relationships is a must
- A strong sense of creativity and a comfort level with sharing ideas
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint

WORK EXPECTATIONS:
- Full-time, onsite, 40hr per week role that may require occasional evening and weekend work. Local and regional travel is expected on occasion.
- This role is estimated to conclude in late Summer / early Fall of 2026
