We want you to help troubleshoot and maintain the infrastructure at a mining data center located in Lufkin, Texas. As a Tech I, you will be responsible for:
We’re looking for a team player with hands-on IT experience and a willingness to learn. In this role you will be working with state-of-the-art computing and networking equipment ensuring high uptime and fast resolution for our client. If you have a curiosity and drive to learn about IT and computers, we will teach you the role.
Responsibilities:
- Performing daily maintenance and repair of computing machines (we will teach this)
- Basic network troubleshooting (We will teach this)
- Monitoring system performance and responding to outages
- Maintaining and receiving inventory (must be able to lift 40 lbs.)
- Other duties and projects may be assigned.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position (stand) majority of shift.
- The person in this position needs to frequently move about the site and inside the containers to access miners.
- Constantly positions self to maintain computers in the containers, including top and bottom of racking equipment.
- Constantly inspects miners.
- Occasionally moves miners weighing up to 40 pounds across the site for retrieval, diagnostic, etc.
- Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions and noisy environment.
- Must be able to exchange information.
