We are currently seeking an Investment Analyst to join our underwriting team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of underwriting experience and be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and driven to support the firm's investment strategy. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive market research, financial analysis, and modeling to identify new investment opportunities and contribute to the execution of real estate transactions. You’ll collaborate closely with senior leadership and the investment team, playing a key role in the continued growth and success of Oak Wood Ventures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed financial analysis of potential real estate investments, including property valuation, financial modeling, and pro forma analysis.
- Perform market research and due diligence, including market trends, comps, and risk assessments.
- Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Monitor the performance of existing investments, including tracking key performance indicators and financial metrics.
- Support the acquisition process, including identifying and underwriting new deals, negotiating terms, and conducting site visits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including acquisitions, asset management, and legal to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
- Assist in the creation of financial models for forecasting and budgeting purposes.
- Stay up to date with market conditions, economic trends, and industry news to provide informed insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in real estate investment analysis, financial modeling, or a related role (experience in commercial real estate preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and real estate analysis tools.
- Knowledge of real estate investment principles, valuation techniques, and market dynamics.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
