The Opportunity
As a Leasing Specialist at LSA Management, you will be responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations within the community. You will play a key role in ensuring resident satisfaction and community profitability, working closely with the Community Manager to align community goals with company objectives.
The Skillset
- Passion for providing exceptional customer service
- 3+ years of Leasing experience in a Multifamily environment
- Affordable Housing leasing experience preferred
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends based on business needs
- Solid computer knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel, internet, email)
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Working knowledge of Yardi and/or RealPage Property Management software preferred.
90 Days at LSA Management
We believe in setting clear expectations and goals from the start. Here's what your first 90 days will look like:
First 30 Days
Orientation and Training:
- Company Overview: Learn about LSA Management's mission, values, and goals.
- Policies and Procedures: Familiarize yourself with company policies, Fair Housing laws, and compliance requirements.
- Software Training: Get hands-on training with RealPage and other property management software.
- Community Tour: Tour the property to understand the layout, amenities, and available units.
- Shadowing: Shadow the Community Manager to observe best practices in resident interactions and leasing processes.
Resident Relations
- Introduction: Meet current residents and introduce yourself as a new point of contact.
- Customer Service: Begin handling basic resident inquiries and service requests under supervision.
Leasing And Marketing
- Prospect Engagement: Start greeting and qualifying prospects, recording visits, and learning to demonstrate community features.
- Marketing Materials: Assist in updating and distributing marketing materials.
First 60 Days
Leasing Activities:
- Lead Management: Take on more responsibility for managing leads, following up with prospects, and closing leases.
- Application Processing: Process rental applications, secure deposits, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing requirements.
- Move-In Coordination: Ensure apartments are ready for new residents and coordinate move-ins.
Resident Retention
- Service Requests: Follow up with residents to ensure satisfaction on maintenance service request.
- Resident Events: Assist in planning and hosting resident appreciation and retention events.
Financial Responsibilities
- Rent Collection: Begin assisting with rent collection and posting payments.
- Delinquency Management: Learn procedures for addressing unpaid rent and communicating with residents about outstanding balances.
90 Days & Beyond
- Achieve 0% rent delinquency
- Ensure all community operations align with company goals
- Continue to build and maintain strong relationships with residents and team members
