United Staffing Associates is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Wine Compliance Assistant to support our client in Monterey County. You will be ensuring the smooth operation of regulatory and administrative tasks within the wine industry. This role involves managing compliance documentation, supporting regulatory submissions, and assisting with various operational processes related to inventory, licensing, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help prepare and file reports required by federal and state agencies for wine shipments.
- Support monthly financial processes by compiling billing and inventory summaries.
- Assist with obtaining and renewing required permits and licenses.
- Aid in filing tax documents related to wine production and sales.
- Review and track product inventory across multiple locations to maintain accurate records.
- Help with daily operational tasks related to wine movement and documentation.
- Facilitate approvals for wine labels and ensure proper record-keeping for certifications.
- Support adherence to regulations and policies from various regulatory bodies.
- Contribute to creating and updating compliance procedures for industry standards.
- Assist with managing registration, licensing, and other state-specific requirements.
- Work on coordinating export documentation and handling import requirements.
- Support grower contract management and payment processes through internal systems.
- Maintain compliance-related files and oversee updates to critical documents.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate regulatory support.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years prior experience in wine compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing sensitive data.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Prior experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or the wine industry is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external interactions.
- Ability to learn and adapt to specialized software systems used in inventory and compliance tracking.
Schedule:
Full-time, five days a week, with occasional overtime during busy periods.
Compensation: $24/hr
