Enjoy working outside? Looking for a temporary role that pays $15* per hour? Join our Department of Public Works seasonal team! The City of Fishers is hiring Seasonal Laborers to help with upkeep and maintenance of all municipal facilities.
We are hiring now for the following start dates: 5/14/25, 5/21/25, 6/4/25, 6/11/25
Examples of Duties
- Ground support for crews on ladders
- Assist with upkeep of buildings
- General maintenance and painting
- Event support
- Other Department of Public Works support duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age;
- Valid Driver's License with 3 years of experience and the ability to be insured to drive a city vehicle required;
- Must be able and willing to work outside in all weather conditions;
- Position will be required to work some evenings, weekends and holiday hours;
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 lbs.;
- Ability to use tools, equipment, and machines as needed for daily work while following all safety protocols;
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a variety of people;
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
