Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Job Description: As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) , you will provide personalized support to individuals with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, or other life challenges. You will assist clients in achieving greater independence and improving their quality of life through compassionate care and tailored services. This role is vital in helping individuals thrive in a supportive, safe, and enriching environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily activities, including personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, etc.), meal preparation, and mobility assistance
- Help clients with medication reminders and other health-related needs
- Foster a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for clients
- Develop and follow individualized care plans to support clients’ physical, emotional, and social needs
- Encourage and support clients in achieving personal goals and independence
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social, recreational, and community activities
- Document client progress and report any changes in health, behavior, or condition to supervisors and family members
- Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a clean living environment
- Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure high-quality care and support
- Advocate for the rights and well-being of clients, ensuring their dignity and independence are respected
- Assist clients with basic personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing)
- Help with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and mobility assistance
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Follow a personalized care plan and report changes to the supervisor
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require a college degree in healthcare or related field)
- Experience in caregiving or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients, families, and team members
- Must have a patient, empathetic, and reliable demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans
- Ability to manage and assist with personal care tasks, including lifting and mobility support
- CPR and First Aid certification required (or must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment)
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required (for some positions)
Job Coach
Job Description: As a Job Coach, you will work directly with clients to help them develop the skills needed to secure and maintain employment. You will support individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment by offering guidance, training, and encouragement. Your role is vital in helping clients achieve independence and success in their careers, enhancing their overall quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one coaching and training to clients seeking employment
- Assist with job readiness skills such as resume writing, interview preparation, and job search techniques
- Identify and match clients with appropriate job opportunities based on skills and interests
- Support clients during their transition into new employment by offering job-site training, including proper workplace behavior and communication
- Help clients develop soft skills like teamwork, time management, and conflict resolution
- Communicate regularly with employers to ensure job performance and satisfaction
- Maintain detailed records of client progress and employment outcomes
- Work closely with the care team to address any challenges or concerns clients may face in their employment journey
Requirements:
- Experience in coaching, teaching, or counseling (preferred but not required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Administrative Assistant
Job Description: As the Administrative Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting the administrative team by managing day-to-day office tasks, handling scheduling, and providing general administrative support. Responsibilities:
- Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and client appointments
- Maintain and organize office files, both electronic and physical
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and general inquiries
- Prepare documents, reports, and other administrative materials as needed
- Assist in the coordination of team meetings and events
- Order and manage office supplies
- Help with client intake processes, including documentation and forms
- Assist with data entry and maintaining accurate client records

Administrator
Job Description: As an Administrator at Choices R Us, you will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of assigned facilities, ensuring that all aspects of the service program run smoothly. You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of care, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Your leadership will be crucial in coordinating services, training, and fostering a positive, productive environment for both staff and clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The role involves managing the daily operations of an assigned adult facility, ensuring it runs efficiently and meets company and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include overseeing staff scheduling, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with documentation and reporting requirements, and managing the nutritional and educational programs. The role also includes recruiting, training, and evaluating staff, handling performance issues, and ensuring ongoing professional development. Additionally, the position requires representing the organization in community and professional interactions, coordinating specialized service programs, and overseeing the implementation of consumer assessments. The individual will ensure regulatory compliance, manage financial records, and handle staff in-service training on critical health topics. They will also address complaints from the community, manage the storage of essential supplies, and ensure staff and consumers maintain necessary certifications and training.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in administrative or office management roles
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing staff
- Proficiency in office management software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
