Work Schedule: Hybrid (Onsite Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Real Estate Permit/Zoning Agent to manage the acquisition of permits and approvals necessary for the construction, operation, and maintenance of new and existing facilities. The ideal candidate will effectively communicate and negotiate with governmental agencies to secure approvals for temporary workspace agreements, licenses, and permits while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Permit & Approval Acquisition: Secure necessary permits and approvals from governmental agencies to facilitate real estate and infrastructure projects.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work aligns with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Government & Public Representation: Represent the company at public meetings, including presentations before municipalities, zoning boards, townships, county commissioners, and other governing bodies.
- Document Management: Process certificates of insurance requests, post bonds, prepare and submit necessary forms, and manage correspondence and legal documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the Right of Way/Real Estate industry, with at least 1 year in a Permit/Zoning Agent role.
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of zoning, land divisions, and utility permitting.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Ability to interpret jurisdictional regulatory policies, real estate documents, legal descriptions, and construction-related drawings.
- Project Management: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with government agencies and stakeholders.
