Payroll Clerk / Administrative Assistant
$19 - $22 per Hour
Processing plant is searching for a strong Payroll Clerk / Administrative Assistant. This position processes bi-weekly payroll (Paychex software) and provides office services by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies, and monitoring administrative projects. The person engages in planning and organizing activities, in order to successfully achieve organizational and department goals.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
A: Full Cycle Payroll Processing using the Paychex software. Working/communicating with designated staff to ensure all employee changes and purchases are recorded timely. Time clock administration as needed.
A1. The Admin Assistant must be creative and enjoy working within an organization that is results-oriented, values-driven, and brand-focused. The ideal candidate will have the ability to exercise excellent judgment and high confidentiality in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.
B. Manage office calendar to set up meetings and reminders/tasks - including, maintain staff calendars to assign tasks, send meeting invitations and review daily employee schedules.
C. Coordinate Guest arrangements and update company calendars accordingly.
D. Oversee incoming information/Emails and address any directives, requests for information, and concerns.
E. Retrieve vending machine funds, record information, and process deposit slips on a weekly basis.
F. Perform level one review of grower delivery paperwork ensuring forms contain accurate and complete information.
G. Assist HR Manager in developing personnel filing systems and maintain files according to state and federal laws, as well as purge records when applicable.
H. Perform various clerical and support duties as needed (e.g., filing, photocopying, typing, assigned errands, etc.)
I. Maintain, Manage and update Mobile device accounts. Order new phones/phone numbers for new or current employees, terminate and/or freeze accounts, track all orders.
J. Company Phone Expert - Train new and current employees on benefit features of the new phone system
K. Provide administration support to President, HR, and Finance as needed
L. Receive, sort and distribute all outgoing and incoming mail.
M. Handle all consumer complaints. Evaluate the severity of the complaint and escalate to Quality Service Manager as needed.
N. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Minimum Qualifications:
A. 2-4 years experience as a Payroll processor / administration assistant, Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish)
B. Problem Solving and Technical Skills; ability to research and suggest solutions
C. Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, Word.
D. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Marginal Job Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Manage office supplies and equipment by periodically checking stock levels; forecasting future material or equipment needs; and submitting orders with vendors as necessary.
B. Manage the updating of Holiday gift and card lists and prepare materials for mailing prior to Christmas.

Compensation: $19 - $22 per Hour
