Job Overview
Public Works Contractor seeking a detail-oriented and self-motived Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and be comfortable managing a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

Answer, screen and transfer inbound calls
Maintain organized filing systems for documents and records (electronically & hard copy)
Assist with front desk responsibilities, greet visitors, accept mail and courier deliveries
Prepare DAS Forms, Fringe Benefit Statements, and other various requirements for work on public works contracts
Utilize Foundation Software for various data entries (payroll, job set up, invoice entry, billing set up and entry, and weekly payroll taxes)
Submit weekly certified payroll reports by email/mail, entry into LCP Tracker, Elations Systems, and/or the DIR website
Run various office errands: collect mail from our PO Box, grocery and/or office supply stores, and run bids to various Cities within the Greater Bay Area
Process payroll-related transactions (i.e. new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, and VOE's)
Support the office with various administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations

Skills:

Accounting experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate
Experience in the construction environment is a plus
Must be able to complete tasks with little or no supervision
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
Ability to proofread documents for grammar and accuracy
Must have a valid CA driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
