Position Summary

The Laborer is responsible for supporting oilfield operations through labor-intensive activities to include, but not limited to digging, general groundwork, and jobsite maintenance. The incumbent operates both hand and power tools while supporting construction site operations.

Per Diem: $35 - $70 per day ($210 - $420 per week)

Schedule: 4 weeks ON 2 weeks OFF

60 hours per week (opportunity for more)
36 weeks ON and 17 weeks OFF (22% MORE TIME OFF!)

Essential Job Functions

Acts as confined space entry attendant.
Secures and safely transports equipment according to company and DOT policies.
Operates high pressure power washing equipment.
Assists Journeyman Craft positions; structural, scaffold, carpentry and welding.
Performs job site/office/facilities maintenance/clean-up.
Conducts fire watch duty.
Assists in the construction of temporary hoardings/structures.
Assists with lifting scaffolding materials.
Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in building, and oil & gas construction projects.
Material handling and storage.
Load and unload freight supplies, haul and hoist materials.
Maintains a clean job site; pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the immediate Supervisor and HSE Supervisor.
Attends training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by department.

Required Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma, or Equivalent
One (1) year construction experience; industrial industry preferred
Current and valid driver's license, with clean driving record

Knowledge and proper use of equipment, hand and power tools, materials and supplies.
Proficient with hand and power tools.
Knowledge in metal, mechanics, or other labor crafts.
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities with deadlines.
Ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing and in the English language.
Maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations.
